Renovated home overlooking the North Channel, located in the village of Meldrum Bay at the western tip of Manitoulin Island. The house sits on a property approximately an acre in size.

Meldrum Bay is an ideal location for those who love nature but also want to be close to amenities offered by a general store, campground and local marina.

The Meldrum Bay cottage was built in the early 1900's by settlers in the area. We purchased the property in 1988, when we were drawn to the beauty of Meldrum Bay and the North Channel.

Between 2003 and 2005 the building was restored by a local builder, Bob Benedict, who worked with the owners to maintain the historic outside of the structure which is covered in cedar shingles. The interior is cedar lined and the floors are pine. Almost all of the wood used in this renovation was grown and milled on Manitoulin Island.
